More House Work

I can't think of a more interesting title than that.  Last weekend we had a work party and had such a wonderful turn out!  Thank you to all who helped clean, paint and work in the garden!  Here are some snapshots from the day.
Joanna has been doing highly detailed trim painting on the windows in my room.

Aunt Mona worked really hard to clean walls and ceilings in prep for resurfacing. (in addition to everything else she did!)

Dave primed the boy's entire room beautifully.

Ava priming the bathroom.

This takes some serious concentration!

Roger and I doing the first coat to cover the dark green trim in the living room.  We did so much work on the trim that was was dreaming about it at night.

Sharon painting trim.

Brandon painting trim...these guys did a great job!

Ken getting ready to prime the ceiling.

Juanita painted the entire boys room first coat.

Laura helping out.

Like this color Laura? :)

Breaking for lunch.

It was a warm day!

My dear sister Emma and Dad after spending the whole morning pulling out all the invasive brush and tree shoots from the front yard...a huge job!

Sanding the play structure.

It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!

Everyone finds a way to help.
Sweeping out the play structure with a cheerful attitude!

These two focused on sanding boards together.  It was a pleasure watching them cooporate.

Waiting to sand..it's a popular job!

Switch!

Jordan working hard on the banister.

James doing even more trim.

Tasha washing the front gate and fence.  Thank you!

Tom came to wash windows!

Taking a break with my mom who was over seeing the washing of the fence to chat on the porch.

Juanita stayed late with me and painted trim.

It is fun to work in a quiet house with a friend.

I have developed a bad elbow from working in this very position for hours and hours.
Just to show comparison....here is what the trim used to look like.

And after!!

The floors are getting refinished in a few days!  I will be heading back tonight to work into the wee hours.  Can't wait to move in!
